factory or extended warranty

I have a 2001 PH 32 X 64 bought new and placed on my land. I have a 5 yr extended warranty. The problem... the front door has a 1/2 inch gap on the latch side at the top and is becoming difficult to lock. House is on concrete runners and I live in central TX. The factory said "the cosmetic portion of the warranty has expired". At the time I contacted them, I had only had the home for 8 months.It's been 20 months since I purchased the home now. Any advice would be appreciated.
