I am looking for a seminar or possibly a class regarding Mobile Home ParksManager's. My family bought a Mobile Home Park and no one has ever been a manager before, so I am sinking or swimming! I just want to know the basics of things I should know. If anyone knows of any class, book, seminar that would be helpful I would appreciate the knowledge.

Yes, I teach the Accredited Community Manager's course. It is a series of three courses, all on manufactured home community management issues. The next one coming up is the third of the series in Tampa during August. The one after that is the second in the series coming up in Minnesota the 3rd week of September. If either of those times or places are good for you, let me know, and I'll get more information to you.

The August class in Tampa is the third in the series, and you must take them in order. I think Florida will host them again next year, but at this point I can't guarantee that. Please check my website for new schedulings, or call Ann Parman at MHEI (800-505-5500) for other classes that I might not know about.

Have you ever thought about teaching your class online?

Since these classes are through the Manufactured Housing Educational Institute, they would be the ones to make that transition. My personal opinion is that the networking which happens in class plus the group projects make it invaluable, and those are things you simply cannot do online.
