Does anyone know how long abandoned mobile homes are to be kept after the
owners have been evicted? I would assume they can be pulled off the rented lot, but how long before they can be junked or sold? We have a park in Minnesota. I have gone into "Minnesota Rules Governing Mobile Home Parks" but have found nothing that is clear on this. I did go into other types of rentals and property rules, but also found nothing that cleared this up, just more confusing rules on going through the court system, storing property, notifying the former owners (usually not to be found) nothing really specific to our problem, We've asked at our county court system and law officials, and we've gotten different answers from whomever we've talked to - no one knows for sure. Sure would appreciate any info on this. Thanks.

Re: mobile homes left in park after eviction
Because you are dealing with someone else's property (the home) abandoned on your property (the homesite) things can get a bit tricky and are different in every state. My best advice to you is to call Mark Brunner at the Minnesota Manufactured Housing Association and ask for a step-by-step plan on how to proceed. His number is (651) 450-4700. It is not always easy, but can always be done.
