Modular Buyers Guide

I am looking at doing some development with Modular Houses... Can anyone tell me how many pages that Modular Buying Guide is and whether it is useful at all. What I really need it to find the lowest priced modular manufacturer that delivers to Atlanta GA... price is my primary concern as I am doing low end ghetto stuff. As long as it passes the same building codes as the site built stuff (i.e. not HUD code) then thats what I need.

You do not seem to be worried much about your customers..Sounds like you have been in the trailor business for a long time...Check with Waycroaa homes and/or Scott Homes in Waycross....He is famousd for a borderline code building systems and low cost homes ..Your attitude will destroy the mod business as those like you in the HUD business did..

Thanks for the info, Murray... and I do appreciate your concerns.

It isn't that I am looking to destroy the business or anything else.. it is just that margins are very thin.. so it is either this or the deal is not doable, and the lots stay vacant and overgrown, or the shot-gun shack stays empty and vandalized.

If you are familiar with some of the property that was built in the ghetto in the thirties and forties... trust me, even a trailer is better quality than this stuff.

As the area eventually gentrifies, this sort of construction will be torn down and replaced with better quality.. it is just that the market place won't support higher cost housing currently.

If I can build something that will last 10 - 20 yrs, that will probably be more than sufficient.

Could anyone else suggest anything so I have a couple of suggestions to check out?
