Info on Park/Community-From Out of State

Post by Judy W. » Fri Oct 22, 2004 8:11 pm

I have been looking through the pages of Real Estate for a manufactured home. I am having trouble getting information about some Parks. I sold my home and gave business to family(kids). We are from a suburb of Boston. Live in a mostly white middle class area...need similar situation. Interested in a place right now in Auburndale - The Hampton's- I am unsure what the area is like, especiallly the Park itself as a community. Would like information on Park Communities that meet a similar living situation I am used to. Thanks. Judy W.

Most manufactured homes are not sold by real estate brokers. They are sold by retailers or the communities themselves. My suggestion would be to go to the website of the community that interests you, and click on their information button, or call them directly. For access to lots of communities in any one area, or for homes that are for sale, you can go to http://mobilehome.com/ which is the website for the Manufactured Housing Global Network to find lots of information.

Online shopping can help you a lot..you might even check the listings on this web site...

But to buy..you will have to make a trip...Auburndale is less than 50 miles from Orlando..there are many cheap flights from Boston to Orlando..rent a car..motels are cheap in Central Florida..check out your prospects in person...

Good luck

1- Check out the Manufactured Housing Multiple Listings. You will find homes in communities and on private property for sale in the area your thinking about moving to.

2- You can also find listings for communities and retailers across the country in the Manufactured Housing Yellow Pages

3- FIll out the form at www.MobileHomeOwners.org for a free service that matches buyers and sellers, so you can find out, before you leave home which local sellers have the inventory, locations, and finance programs that best suit your needs.
