JUNKING & DEMOLITION OF OLD HOMES

Post by Phil Botana » Wed Apr 28, 2004 11:01 am

I am seeking advice on the least expensive way to junk and/or demolish mobile homes. I manage mobile home parks in Missouri in the Kansas City area and the alternatives I have been able to find are rather expensive. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks. Phil

I have recently acquired a MHC in Houston, Tx and I am facing the same issue.
Here is what I discovered:

Price of steel and metal has substantially increase in value, you can find these guys who recycle the parts. They will cut the MH up and leave it in pieces (less the metal and aluminum) after that simply higher some day laborers to load up the trash and throw them away in rented dumpsters (40 yds at 300 a pop ), or higher someone to haul the stuff off or hire someone to try and completely remove the trailer for you . Alot of entreprenuers look for these opportunities to try and rehab the trailer (depending on the condition of the trailer).

Hope this helps.
