Looking to buy 15 water meters for installation in existing single wide community. Is there a prefferred brand or type of meter out there?

There are a lot of good ones. The main differences in construction are either plastic or brass. Think about price not only in terms of investment, but in terms of longetivity of the product; and when you think about having to replace it, remember that labor is a part of the cost. Look for warranties. If you are in a climate that gets cold in the winter, be sure to use heat tape across the base plate. Think about reading the meters and whether you want the capability of remote reading or physically reading the meter - in which case you will want the installation to place the dial where it can be easily read.

As far as type of meter, there are two, (1) Multi Jet and (2) Positive Displacement. The multi jet is the way to go. As far as brand, we've had lot of meters in the ground for 20+ years and can't tell a difference.
