How does one go about trying to reduce the taxes that went up 20% or more with the recent purchase of the park?

First, talk with comparable properties in your area to see if they went up at all or less or about the same. Secondly, go to the tax assessor's office and ask how they computed the amount due. Ask why it increased, and the basis for their calculations. Do not appear threatening, but inquiring. If you get no satisfaction, or feel you need to lodge a legal protest by filing suit, hire an attorney who specializes in taxes. Good luck!
