Community sitter

Hi Chrissy: Is there a need in the industry for an on site, temporary, community sitter? By this I mean If a manager is on vacation, sick, or waiting to recruit a new manager, one could take a region, live in a motorhome and travel where needed. I have been a community manager.
Thank you for your time. Rita

There is a huge need for a mobile manager to roam where needed. Unfortunately, most of the community operations are proprietary and not just anyone can sit in for a missing or vacationing manager. Each company has its own forms, policies, procedures, etc., and it would be impossible for you to learn it. A possibility, however, is to draft your resume highlighting your willingness to travel, your versatility, and previous experience, then send it to some of the larger companies along with a proposal for a new position such as you described. A loyal, trained employee could be a huge benefit for a multi-property owner who has a constant need for someone to fill in. Good luck!
