The Manufactured Housing Forums

We are developing a mobile home community in Katy, Texas. We are in the process of finding some type of management. How would you suggest we begin to find a manager. Should we hire an individual, or is there some sort of company we could refer to? I know this question is kind of broad, but I really don't know where to begin. Anything info you could give me would be much appreciated.

First, I always suggest starting with the state association. In Texas, call Charlotte Zimmerman at 512-459-1221. Then, put an ad in the newspaper if you have no luck. Attend some of the state association chapter meetings to mingle with other communities and managers. If you use a newspaper ad, put it in the "professional" classification. Be sure to ask for references - and verify them! Good luck!
