In independent studies conducted in five different states, it has been proven that the value of a manufactured home appreciates or depreciates in direct correlation to the surrounding homes and neighborhood. The entire issue of value is connected with the basic principles of contribution - don't put more into the home than what your improvement will add to the overall value of the home. And, just as in real estate, think about location, location, location! Where do you want to live? Will that be considered of value by a potential buyer in the future? If you select private property, what is around you? How is it likely to be developed or changed in the future? Those changes will affect the value of your home. If you select a community, look at the appearance of the other homes in the community, the way the property in general looks, and the neighborhood surrounding the community. Enjoy your manufactured home - dollar for dollar it is the best buy out there in the housing market today! Select the location carefully - it has a huge impact on future value.
