we are in the process of buying a new mobile home is there a web site that compares the different mobile home makers (ex. patriot, fleetrwood, etc.)

There is no website of which I am aware, however, each manufacturer publishes volumes of information about their homes - construction, options, safety features, etc. The retailer should be able to provide you with that, or you should be able to obtaian it from the manufacturer's website. Have you taken a factory tour? What a great way to really learn about the way your next home is built!
