Could you tell me if there is a restriction on park owners to ask that old or homes in deplorable condition be removed upon resale?

Our park is in Maryland, Cecil County.

Any restrictions that would prevent a community owner from forcing relocation at the time of sale would be either state or local laws. There is no federal law to that effect. Some community owners use this time as a way to upgrade the appearance of a community, to bring in newer homes for sale, to upgrade the infrastructure of a homesite or for various other reasons. However, in some states, the simple act of selling a home cannot be used as a reason to vacate the homesite - no matter what condition the home is in. Only if the homeowner has received prior notices from the manager about fixing the home or bringing it into compliance with the community Guidelines (rules) can a home that is still in violation be required to be removed.
