Property Lines "Adjusted"
Property Lines "Adjusted"
Has anyone had a Park Manager move their property lines of their space to accommodate a new installation? We are victims of this. We located the markers that had been slurried over..They concur with where the Manager had expressed them to be for over 6 years! The Park Manager is now claiming that the property markers do not mean anything and the boundaries are where he now claims them to be. We need to know if others have had this problem and how to proceed...Our Enforcement Agency is unwilling to address this problem because they have allowed this to happen repeatedly for years and if they acknowledge the markers that we uncovered, they have huge problems...Does anyone have any recommendations on how to resolve this issue?

Sounds like there could be a CLASS ACTION here. Contact a Mobile Home Park Attorney and good luck! MHP law is in your favor.
Re: Property Lines "Adjusted"
Jon's advice is not necessarily true. In most communities, there are so set lot lines as there are in subdivisions or other formally platted areas. If you are only renting the land, there is probably no defined lot line. If you live in Florida where there is a document called a "prospectus" that is part of your legal agreement with the community owner, then look for a specific lot size to be mentioned. In other states, leases and rental agreements rarely mention such a thing. The metal stakes in the ground may well have been where the land was originally plotted out during development, but if you do not pay taxes on a legally defined area of land, and you do not have any set size in any of your community documents, then, yes, unfortunately, you are a victim of a community owner who appears to have adjusted the homesite boundaries.
