Chris,
I am very impressed by the professionalism of your website. I am thinking of creating a website for my consulting business. Anything you you can tell me or advise regarding it's creation and cost would be helpful.
You doing good? I think we are at or past bottom and resurgence of chattel lending beginning already will help greatly. I have said and stand by that RE lending by itself won't save us. As the % of RE lending increases, the volume keeps dropping, and this during the greatest RE lending binge of all time. That tells me alot.
Thanks for your help.
Marty

Re: Your website
Thanks for taking time to view my website. My wonderful site is the dream creation of my superb webmaster - David Oxhandler. All I have ever had to do is simply share a concept with him and give him the information about the handbooks I write - he does the rest! Missed you at the summer MHI meeting; I'll see you in Tucson in October!
About the financing in our industry - I agree with you that we cannot exist by real estate lending alone. We must have chattel loans, and not just the types of mortgages that are available through Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Leased land requires a different mindset, and if we lose that focus, we have then lost the affordability factor which comprises the bulk of our sales. There is a small, but growing market for upscale homes, land/home deals, etc., but there is and always will be a growing market for affordable housing. Me thinks we are exiting that market with too much haste.
