Occupancy / Vacancy Report

Chrissy,

Barb Dresher @ Jennings has asked me to put together a monthly vacancy report. It occurs to me that there are many different definitions of economic vacancies, etc. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, are there any reports that you've used or come across that I could use for reference? She would like it to include physical vacancies, sites that are abandoned, repossessed, etc. just to give you an idea.

Julia - good to hear from you! Yes, there are several reports I have seen and used. They range from the superbly simple to the unbelievably complicated. Start with the number of sites paying rent in each community. Then, at the end of each month, add the new rent-paying sites that have moved in and subtract the ones that moved out. Do the same thing for all other categories you want reported. I do have a "Net Fill" form that can be modified slightly to work for you. I'll be home in a few days and fax it to you.
