Now we are getting WAY outside the topic of this forum. We are not here to discuss ethics and philosophy but sales & management techniques. Thanks for your comments but I will be cutting off this topic for the future unless we branch off into sales and management technqiues.

Carl Davidson objects to introducing ethics into a sales discussion forum. What is wrong with this picture? It reinforces the belief of most of us that all manufactured housing is a scam and those involved in selling it have the ethics of used car salespeople, CEOs, and stock analysts.

To hell with ethics and philosophy, right Carl? Let's focus on how to wrestle that buyer to the ground!

I don't believe that the entire manufactured industry is a scam, and there are a lot of good, ethical MH dealers out there who believe in doing business by working in their customers' best interests. However, when someone in manufactured home sales states the opinion that ethics and business technique have nothing in common, it sets a very poor example of this industry, and sends a poor message to potential customers who are investigating this form of housing. Those who post their "secret techniques" here may want to remember that it's not only the sales types who read their posts.
