Franklin homes -any info you have!

Post by babygirl86 » Sun Mar 13, 2011 1:11 am

VERY interested in a Franklin we saw, but we are first time buyers and scared to death lol. It was a 2011 and absolutely gorgeous. My dad works in flooring and sees tons of houses all the time, and he thought it looked sturdy as well, the best we had seen. But I would love to know any information on them. Is it true they are a brand under Clayton? I am having a hard time finding any info on them in terms of reviews or other things not on their own website. Thanks for any help! Also, are there any brands that as of 2011, have a bad reputation? We are scared to death and paranoid lol!

Franklin has a good reputation, I don't recall any negative posts here over the years.

Any first time buyer that is not scared when buying a home today has been asleep for the past several years. Purchasing a home is not a simple task. The number of competing brands, each builders claims of superiority, difficulties obtaining reasonable financing, the horror stories that abound today attached to poor home buying decisions is enough to terrorize any thinking person.

Purchasing a home is a huge endeavor, and buyers need to be more educated than ever, before they begin the process. "Due Diligence" is defined as the kind and amount of research a prudent person would undertake when investing thousands of dollars.

Right now is the best time in years to purchase a home. The market heavily favors buyers. An educated shopper can cut excellent deals.

The key is to take the time and responsibility for due diligence, find a reputable dealer and negotiate a fair price on a home that will service the long term needs of your family.

The Grissim Buyer's Guide to Manufactured Homes and Land is a comprehensive resource guide for consumers that explains just how the manufactured home industry operates, how to find a dealer worthy of your trust, how to make the right home selection, and, as important, how to be informed, empowered, and swindle-proof.

A buyer should understand with confidence what comparable brands are really offering. The Grissim Ratings Guide to Manufactured Homes. is a unique publicaiton that rates every MH Builder's Products, price ranges, construction ratings and more. This is a remarkable book that captures a huge range of homes available. As this is a constantly changing field, your purchase includes access to the author's latest updates available online.

The Manufactured Housing Book Store is running a "Due Diligence" Special 2 Book Offer for both of the best selling Grissim Manufactured Home Shopper's Guides

Franklin isn't owned by Clayton, but Clayton is most likely their biggest retailer by far.
