I need help ... I am a first time buyer. I am looking at a manufactured home and I am wondering about government assisted downpayments. Where can I find information about mortgages and the down papyments.. I have no clue where to turn. I like the house I was looking at and I know I will qualify for a mortgage.. If anyone can help.. Thanks

Craig,
Where we are looking at new homes has already places to get financing.
We are looking at Palm Harbor, they may cost alittle more but in the long run, we believe with energy savings, and also resale value, if we should ever decide to sell, the extra money is well worth it. Might look into one. Am not sure about
down payment assistance, but the place that you are buying from should be able to help you find I would think.
Also, where are you going to place this home? On your own land or in a park?
Might check to see how much parks cost and what all is included in their charges. And also check about utilities - water, electric and sewer too how much that will cost you monthly..

Craig,
I know that Palm Harbor has a close partnership with a finance company that may be able to assist you. We can also provide insurance once you are in your new home. If you contact your local Palm Harbor model center (not sure what state you are in) they can help direct you to the people you need to speak with. Look on
www.palmharbor.com for the model center closest to you.
If you are in Florida, drop me a line and I would be happy to help get you to the proper people. You can also get more info on
www.palmharbormarketing.com
Best of luck in your search.

I live in Los Angeles and I have been looking into Manufactured Homes for a couple of weeks. I visited an Advantage Home in Carson. It was beautiful now I'm really interested. The agent tells me there are no 1st time buyers programs and you have to put 10% down. If anyone has any info for purchasing programs in Los Angeles, I would appreciate the help.I don't have any land so the home would be in a park. Please Help. Thanks, Tracy
