Manufactured home - FHA financing
Manufactured home - FHA financing
When I was trying to close my loan the financing fell through when trying to use FHA. I loved the land so much and didn't want to let the home go that I got a personal loan and was able to close. I was wondering who could come out and tell me what exactly I needed to do in order to qualify of FHA financing. Someone told me an engineer but I only found one that was familiar and they wanted $130.00/hr for one engineer, $150.00 for the engineer who will stamp it, $90.00 for construction, $55.00 for clerical, .55 cents per mile plus 15 % over. I don't mind paying someone, but that's so vague I have no idea what it will cost. I live outside of Columbia SC in Calhoun county. Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Ouch...Since I am in Augusta, GA..It would be nice to know who your original loan was through ...I would NOT want one of my customers to end up in your boat...What did the originator say about the reason they did not close.???...You are making it sound like that it was the inspection....Your loan originator (officer) should be able to answer your questions..also they should have some experience and know someone to do the inspection....Engineers usually cost about $500...FHA approved inspectors will cost about $350...Your loan originator will have a list directly from the FHA with all approved in the area...If you are still confused..You might want to find another more experienced loan source...Call the dealers in your area and ask them who they are using..The dealers will now exactly who to send you to...
