I work for a small non profit camp and we are looking to purchase 4 modular home for our year round supervisors and their families. We are working with a dealer and we are considering a floor plan from both fleetwood and skyline. Does anyone have any preference between the two companies?

Skyline is better built and has much better service after the sale.

Scott keep in mind you get what you pay for. If you want to buy a "cheap home" everyone regardless of brand sells them. If you pay a little extra for a nicer product you can buy with confidence from either Fleetwood or Skyline. Fleetwood builds out of multiple factories and generally you can get more for your money from them albeit some of their production facilities put out better product than others. Your location would make a difference as to cost effectiveness. As far as service keep in mind it starts with the dealer. No matter where you buy your homes from I have never seen a deal go perfect. Your goal is to work with someone you are confident can minimize your troubles NOT eliminate them.

I am no expert but after much research/reading different forums, Skylines seem to be of the better "mid class" companies, meaning not super topnotch quality but not poor either. Fleetwoods, well....I hear the most complaints about them vs other companies.

You will hear more complaints about Fleetwood because they sell many more homes.

Fleetwood is the 3rd largest manufacturer..behind Champion and Clayton Homes..

Skyline is the 4th in line...

We looked at both Fleetwood and Skyline. We went with Skyline. Much better quality and workmanship.
