For those of you who responded to my earlier frustration (and there were quite a few), I did contact an attorney (and the consultation was free). He suggested I put into writing all the "verbal agreements" that were made, list the things I wanted done and ask for a completion date or suggest one of my own. I did do all of that and received a reply to my fax within 24 hours with an itemized chronology. He also agreed to a Sept 30 "completion date".
I later "won the battle" regarding cleaning the house before the carpeting was installed. (I purchased my own and not the factory's.) I inspected the house today and found a notice posted from the County today to cease building the garage because there was no permit. (Another delay?) How many times does this dealer not do what he is suppose to?
I also discovered a VERY crooked/curved interior wall that even a site-built house wouldn't have (and some site-built houses can have crooked walls.) Is this a factory error or on-site goof-up during setup because of improper leveling? Can this be corrected? Can this house really be completed in 3 weeks with final inspection and Certificate of Occupancy? There are also so many other items that need to be adjusted and/or corrected, (doors hang crooked or don't close; almost all of the kitchen drawer and doors need adjustments or replacement; sliding patio door and adjacent window installed upside down; and so much more) When does all of that get corrected?
For anyone else reading this, take lots of pictures as your scenario unfolds which I did starting with the pad (love my digital camera and the use I'm getting out of it); and find an attorney when it just gets so bad you can't stand it anymore. I may be returning for more legal advice and/or having him represent me.
I may also contact the appropriate agencies later if need be.
Thanks to anyone who took the time to respond to me.
Well, I shouldn't complain ... Prayers to all of those in the South who don't even have a home anymore!!!!

You asked..."I also discovered a VERY crooked/curved interior wall that even a site-built house wouldn't have (and some site-built houses can have crooked walls.) Is this a factory error or on-site goof-up during setup because of improper leveling?".....Could be iether...badly warped walls would most likely be a factory problem...but many of your cabinet and door problems seem to point to a set up problem..
Does not seem like this home will be near completrion in 3 weeks...
I doubt the glass door and window are up side down..this would be highly unusual...Make sure all these problems are corrected before you sign any more papers.....
Good Luck

I've put the factory on notice re uneven wall and rep is suppose to inspect.
Also, the "upside down" sliding patio door is "upside down" because they switched the placement meaning the door slides from left to right instead of right to left. It will have to be reversed back to make it slide from right to left. (otherwise it will be too hard to access). Other fixing needs to take place (placement of certain a electrical switches and ceiling light) so I don't envision a Sept 30th finish date either, but it has to be accomplished or my interest lock will cost me money to extend it.
