Longevity of 1979 Guerdon?

Considering purchase of a '79 Guerdon that appears well cared for, new roof. On a cement foundation. Question is: are homes built in that era as long lasting as ones built today (i.e. 60 years)?

My mother has a 1979 and the previous owner had taken very good care but as a new home owner im trying to find info on roof repair.Any suggestions?
