Interest Rates

Post by "Ann Marie" » Wed Jun 08, 2005 8:31 pm

I'm finally going to purchase and build a new Silvercrest home. I'm having trouble trying to find a lower interest rate. I've been offered 8.7%. It's a bit high for me....the mortgage plus the pad rent. What are the going rates right now and can I do better anywhere? I live in California. Need to know ASAP. Thanks for your help.

US Bank has some of the best rates...Home only rates are dictated by your crdit score and % down...The lowest rates are for those with more than 700 Fico scores with 20% down...If this is you..the rate is a little high...Could be as low as 6.75%...Go for it...

Hello, Murray. My scores are 796-798-802. I'm willing to put 20% down for a better rate. I receive Modern Magazine and believe I saw US Bank in there. I'll check there for the number. Maybe there is still hope for me to make this work. Thanks, you are the best.

Every lender would love to have you...Have you entered your info into the loan section of this web site.....You deserve..the best there is..Have you asked the park about deals with local banks..some parks will have special deals with local banks..who all would long to have you as a customer..for your home and otherwise...I checked US banks rates yesterday...Current rate is about 7.25 for you...on a fixed rate..they also offer a varible rate at about 5.75%....

Good Luck..

I have tried the loan service on this website sometime ago when I was trying to buy another property. I rec'd a couple of responses back then. Maybe I could try again beings my situation is different now. I spoke to US Bank today. They quoted me 7.75%. I will take it. However, they won't do business with me direct. I told them I was going through a retailer. He asked who that was. I told him and he said "we don't do business with them, but could if they fillout some paperwork." It will take a couple of weeks. I'm going to give this a shot. Hope my retailer will agree to this. Will let you know how I make out. Thanks a bunch.

Right now I feel like a rubber ball bouncing all over the place. I spoke to someone today at US Bank and he told me that they do not do business with anyone in the Southern California area as yet, only the northern part of the state. He said they probably will be by the end of the year or first of next year. Somehow this seems ridiculous to me. I would like to talk to you bCoughlin. Can I have a number or email to reach you at. Thank you.
