I need assistance finding a set-up contractor. This is one drawback of buying factory direct. The house will be located in the Rosamond, CA 93560 area.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It seems this is a popular way to buy in CA....makes the prices seem lower from these so called wholesale buyers...but remember set up is EVERYTHING fore these homes...remember factory warranty is set up related..the home MUST be set exactly as the manual calls for..

I cannot give you good advice..simply because it is not done thie way any where else in the country..I am sure the set up crew will have to be state licensed..

You might start here to find out the requirements and maybe to find a listing of licesned set up crews...

The place I might start with is the County Clerk or the County Board of Realtors. They might be able to send you in the right direction. Also, try your local Home Depot. The management team should be on a first name basis with their regular customers and might have one or two that they know of in your area that work with manufactured home set up.

Rick,
Call Sol Zadock at Home Sweet Home 4u.
He is an independant manufactured home dealer in L.A.
He has numerous clients in the Antelope Valley.
His number is 1-213-484-8234.
He will come to you and can help you get your home set up.
He was working with me to install a home on Backus Road that was all set up until the banks screwed everything up.
Tell Sol that Jeff sent you. :)
Good Luck
