Repair

I havve a Double wide in Texas That I had to get the State to make the manufacturer repair . They gave them 40 days and they did not get done so they got a 40 day extension, And went over that. Now I have to have a reinspection . Because the work is undone and they have caused more damage to my home. This was an expensive home very missrepresented. Does anyone know a good lawyer who takes this kind of case in East Texas. While the contractors were in the home they tore a lot of things up . It has been things like the floor was not nailed down , Electric wires with staples in it . Sink not fastened down , nails sticking up under the floor covering. and much more. Also workers filled the house with dust and dirt. Tore things up and left a big mess. I have taken many pictures of the home and you would not beleave what they show came from What we were told was the best built . Some of the repair work has been redone several times and still not correct. Hope everyone who buys a new home has better luck This was going to be for retirement now I just think it is junk

Sounds like your State Agency doesn't do what they are supposed to. If this is so, contact the Manufactured Housing Division at HUD in Washington DC. Tell them your state agency, who they pay is doing what they are paid for.

See if that helps...

I believe the numer is 202-708-6423. But check the website at www.hud.gov, manufactured housing.

Good Luck!
