Terry:

We looked at a bunch and visited a lot of places. We decided on a Patriot...bought the lot model actually. We bought it from Home Sweet Homes, which is located off of I-77 at Edens Fork. To be honest, we got jerked around a lot...we were going to buy from The Home Show in Spencer but finally gave up attempting to deal with them. We walked into Home Sweet Homes and Pauletta, the woman that owns the company, was up front with us from day one. We told her where we needed to be money wise, she and her partner, Paul, came out to our property to appraise our current home as a trade in, and we had a deal with very little haggling. Now if things were only so easy with the mortgage company!

The home we are purchasing is 32 x 60, with 512 roof pitch, Hardiplank siding, finished drywall, maple cabinets...about 1700 square feet. We had seen similar Patriot models at another dealer in Ohio, but he doesn't "deal" with West Virginia (his words). So we felt lucky to find something comparable at a price we wanted with so many upgrades.

Well congratulations!!! My husband and I have been looking at Skyline and have also looked at Fleetwood. We are going Sat to look at Champion homes. We are really looking around before we purchase we are also putting ours on a permanent foundation as I hope that will help sustain the value
