Lookin for info on MHs in N. California

First off I'm new so sorry if these questions have been asked before.
I live in the SF bay area and housing is soooo expensive. My husband and I have been looking into buying a MH. It looks like in our area our only option would be to purchase an existing MH already set in a MH park.
The parks are nice but we are clueless as to what to look for and what questions to ask. What brand to look for or avoid.
I'm just amazed at the difference in price throughout the country. Here in the SF Bay area these homes, 1500 sq ft 3br 2ba (which is what we need) are going for around 150-170k, PLUS rent on the property which is anywhere from $600-800/mo.
Other than moving out of state or the Central Valley of CA, does anyone have any suggestions or advice?
Thanks in advance.
Rebecca
