Brand comparisons or opinions, please

Hi, like others I have seen here I also am glad to have found this message board.

We have purchased an acre in the country, in an area that is just not affordale enough for us to build a "stick built" home as I would like. I have had people at work encourage me to look into the Modular homes. My wife and I have and we have fallen in love with some of the floor plans. The question is.....

I would like some opinions and comparisons, if possible, on the different brands.
The brands we see for sale at the dealers around here are...

Schult
Commodore
Energy Mate (Patriot)
Fairmont

Have any of you purchased and been either very pleased...
or at all disappointed in any of these brands?
If so... why?

We would very much appreciate your help and advice.... thank you :)

I don't think fairmont builds modular homes, just manufactured homes.
They do build a decent manufactured home though.

Fairmont does build modulars. Probably the least expensive of those listed. While Fairmont doesn't do all the columns and tray ceilings and such that the others have, they are structurally at least as good as the others on this list.
