Palm Harbor Home

Post by Anna » Mon Apr 19, 2004 2:00 pm

My husband and I have been looking at manufactured homes the last couple of months. We recently saw one that is a Palm Harbor 2600 sf home. It is a 1998 home and needs to be moved.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Does this sound like a good home? Are Palm Harbor homes good? We do not have land and do not think any home parks would have room for what is basically a triple wide. Any ideas?

Thanks

Tanya

We don't own it yet, but from the information and advice we've gotten from this site, Randy Eaton's book, and a little comparison shopping, we've settled on Palm Harbor as the home we want. From what's available in our area, PH stands out as clearly the best for the money: incredibly solid construction, attention to detail, solid company reputation and so on. We also spoke to a Palm Harbor owner in our park, she has a much older model, but she loves it, has had no problems with it, would buy it all over again. I'm sure you'll hear a lot more from others...good luck!
