We are trying to decide between doing one of the above or a stick built and are leaning toward the MHs. I was just wondering your opinion on the "best". I don't care about which is most expensive. I don't care about paying for the name (as we have heard about Silvercrest). I have heard so many conflicting opinions. I figure I will go for yours, please.

We are looking to build in the 2500 sq ft range. So far I have been most impressed with Silvercrest but I like the Granite I saw in a Hallmark.

I also am curious about other roof pitches. I saw on the Champion Oregon (for silvercrest) that you can get a 6/12 pitch. I read somewhere else that youcan get a roof pitch up to 12/12. Do you know if these other manufacturers do that. My husbands big complaint about MH is the "flat" roofs. )

Check out Oak Creek Homes. You will be very impressed. The quality is very high, the prices are reasonable, tons of options and..... you can get 6/12 or 12/12 pitch, plus you've got to see the tower dormer windows.

Looks like we have a oakcreek sales person that is promoting their product on the non-commercial side of this site.

Oak Creek is not available in my area from the web site. I also thought there web site was difficult to use-they make it very difficult to see what their models look like.

Back to PH, HAllmark or silvercrest-
does any one know about the roof pitches on these?

I know PH offers a 6/12 but I don't know about steeper. A non 3-4/12 roof pitch make a big difference. The hinged roof does require a little extra time and complication in setup but worth it.
