I don't know if I have seen this subject here before, but when does my responsibility start as far as insurance on the home goes?

If something happens, as it did here recently in a windstorm, and half of the house is blown over on the freeway, who is responsible?

When the home rolls out of the facotyr or when it is delivered and set at the site?

Thanking you again for your freely given knowledge over the years.

Tom

While the home is on the dealer's lot, their insurance covers the home. When the home is in transit, the set/delivery contractor's insurance is responsible. When the home is set up and passed necessary inspections, you have completed your walk through, and the home has been turned over to you by the set up contractor, your insurance is responsible from then on.
