Refinancing

Post by PATTY » Wed Mar 10, 2004 10:46 am

I hope this is the right place to put this question, so here goes. I am a new home owner, bought my MH 3 years ago, and I am doing a refinance. My question is this, when the appraiser comes by, do they come into the house or do they just look at the outside? Hope this doesn't sound to dumb! Thanks for any help.

For an accurate appraisal, the appraiser should view the inside of the home. This does not always happen. It is especially important if you have made any internal changes to the home. e.g. Expanded closets, new kitchen cabinets, carpeting, etc.

A good apprasier always will look inside and out of the home.
