roof pitch

A 5/12 roof pitch with 8' ceiling is fine for a mobile home 2,000 sq ft plus, but when I looked at the quote I have it has a 6/12 roof pitch with 8' ceiling. My question is do I need a 6/12 roof pitch for a home in West Virginia.

I plan to approve this deal on Thursday next week.

Thanks,

Vee, the 6/12 helps with shedding snow and rain and also the value of the home, but it cost more to raise the 6/12
its up to you.

A 6x12 and 5x12 roof should be very near the same costs..the extra cost associated with this pitch are in the hinge assembly and additional labor setting the home...Both pitches have the same..so costs should be very close..

The only way to save a large amount of money would be to go with a fixed roof..3 or 4 x12..
