Patriot vs Palm Harbor

Post by Colleen » Tue Feb 17, 2004 7:47 am

My husband and I have been looking at both the Palm Harbor and Patriot homes. We live in the Tyler, Texas region. Both Palm Harbor and Patriot have floorplans that we like. However, when comparing the two, what may come standard on one (2x6 exterior walls, tape & texture walls, OSB wrap, etc.) is considered an upgrade on the other.
In general, we would like to know which builder is the best without all of the fluff. I would very much appreciate any comments and opinions you can offer. Thank you.

After looking closely at both builders, I have to say I prefer the Patriot. Both builders
have lower end and higher end homes. As an example, the Pinnacle line is a higher
end home built here in Alabama, while the Southridge is the lower end. The same
is probably true in Texas, but you also have Patriot of Texas to check out.

Both PH and Patriot build decent homes. See if you can find a similar floor plan,
list all your options and specs. Then shop both builders. Be aware that some
models of PH have 7.5 foot ceilings. We would have bought a Greystone model
but for that.

good luck

Hi, My Husband and I are looking at a Patriot and a Fairmont. We are not sure. The floor plans are same but one has sunken floor. We are not sure if they have problems with the floors being like that? If anyone as info on these houses please email me.
Thank you,
Heidi
