Sale fell Through

I was in the process of purchasing a manufactured home. Had paid a deposit. Sales person kept telling me "you are approved'" for three months, this went on.
Credit score @ 600 when the process began. Was to be a "land/home" package deal. Finally, payments would've exceeded what I was qyoted at beginning of process. What went wrong?
