I am looking at purchasing 5 acreas of undeveloped land that is exactly what I had been searching for. It has alot of trees and the neighborhood is nice, but 2.42 acres are in a 100 year flood plan. They are wanting $18K.
I am aware that I can not put my home in that 2.42 area, but with some land improvements I could possibly change the makeup of the land. (of course, this will take some time) I have contacted the USACE to see if they would possibly assist me with getting a drainage pond.
If you have any comments regarding my situation, please respond. I need all the assistance I can get.
