Mr. Murray, Cavalier questions

I have read through enough info on looking for quality that my brain hurts, and I'm pretty sure what to look for but I want your opinion on a couple things.

Looking at a Cavalier RX-06-A6065 32x80. It has 2x6 on 16" outer walls, 2x4 on 16" marriage, 2x4 on 24" interior and 2x8 on 24" floor, should I request everything on 16"? They have gone to 8' flat (residential) ceilings, is this good or bad? Insulation looks good at R33 roof, 19 walls and 11 in the floor.

Is Cavalier a good home? I read in one of your posts (I believe) that your first step should be finding a good Dealer. I think I found one, they have been in buisiness for something like 29 years (Dale Hodges Homes) in Valdosta. Do you know anything about them? I am relocating from Al. and don't know anyone.

Thanks so much, you the MAN

They seem to have made some improvements in the last 12 months since we handled the product....Changes though are probably still not possible...

8 foot flat ceilings is a matter of personal preference..not quality..

I would be much more concerned about 16 inch centers for the roof..floor and all walls....That would be the best quality...

As close as you are to Lake City, Fl...you should compare the product with Homes of Merit..the long time leader of quality and service in the area...There is a good Homes of Merit dealer in Moultrie at www.Homesof Merit.com...Remember they have a factory 5 year warranty..best in the industry..

I do not know the dealer personally...but a long time locally owned dealer still in business is one of the best to buy from now..He seems to fill that bill fine..
