We are interested in purchasing a Cavalier Home for our land. Is this a reputable home builder? The home construction appears to be as fine as the upper class Skyline Homes. Any help? Can't find anything on the web.

Cavalier is an interesting company...Recent price hikes have moved the prices into the range of high quality construction...but..Cavalier has very basic construction standards...

Finish items are of the highest quality...such as appliances, cabinets, fixtures even carpet....but...basic construction is lacking..2x3 interior walls on 24 inch centers, 24 inch centers on floor joists, 24 inch centers on roof rafters...the hidden list is long..

Pricing in the industry is very competitive..It is made up of basic quality, finish features and size..You have to decide what is important to you and make them fit with in your pocketbook...Some folks feel basic quality is most important...some feel size is most important..that is all personal...There are homes out there with all of the above...but the prices will be higher than the Cavalier..

Buy the way..you did not mention where you are...Cavalier just closed its PA plant and has closed its 1 sales center in that area..A PA Cavalier will not have local service support..
