We are in Florida. We just purchased a 10 acre piece of property with the well, septic and power already on it.

We are now looking for a used home. I have spent the whole day today researching dealers in the area through the BBB, looking for tips on buying MH, just about researched everything, printed a bunch of stuff etc...

Any tips on buying a used Mobile Home?

Any Manufacturers like Oakwood that we need to stay away from?

My best tip would be to compare new to used....Often there is a large difference in finance rates in the two and new cann be a better buy..

If I was looking for used in FL...I would be looking for Homes of Merit product..HOM sells 25% of all the new homes in Fl..and there should be a few that are available on the used market...
