this is my first post on this forum, so here goes: wife and i are looking at a 1998
fleetwood. it's a triplewide, and on a full concrete slab. while looking at the home, i noticed the shingles at one of the marriage lines appear to be lifting. is this common? are slight irregularities common at this point?
thanks for any input,
chuck.

The shingles lifting could be several things really. The home could be unlevel, concrete slab isn't level, shingles have been replaced, problems with the marriage lines in the home. Has the previous owner disclosed ALL repair work on this home to you? That is something you should know before buying.

1998 is a 5 or 6 (2004's are on the market now) year old home...
Just like any 5 year old home there are sure to be a few things that need attention..The shingles you mentioned most likely are a very minor problem..if a problem at all...but..in a very few cases they could be a sign of more...
The best recommendation anyone can give is to treat this 5 year old home the same as one should any 5 year old home...Make an offer contingent on a professional house inspection..Then have a professional inspect the home and supply a report..Once this is done...you can move forward or not..but with confidence..

Chuck- Just a short question. We also have been looking for a slightly used triple wide. We have property. Can I ask what was the price range you encountered? I'm not even sure if those things can be moved.....
