Trying to decide in LA

Hello:
I live in Louisiana and I am having difficulty deciding on a manufactured home. I don't know which manufacturers are the best (in terms of quality construction). I have seen homes at 3 different places. They are beautiful, but I don't know if they are quality homes. So I wanted to find out from someone WITHOUT an interest, which is better, Champion, Redman, ???

Please let me know ASAP since I will soon select which home.

i would advise you to buy randy eaton's book, available from the "bookstore" on this website. it compares the different manufacturers, as well as tells you what to look for in getting a quality constructed home. good luck on your search.

Vanessa, it seems to me....sm

after researching this for about half a year now, that our best choices in LA are Southern Energy (not Southern or Southern Lifestyles) or Patriot (their top line, which is, I believe, called Pinnacle). Where in LA are you?

I live outside of Lafayette.

Well, I am already in knee deep so to speak, but I contacted a local carpenter/builder friend and he gave me a lot a of specs minimums I need to look at. Thank you very much.
