Oak Tree mobile homes?

I am still thinking about MH and have run across another name...Oak Tree. It is a dealership near here, but I don't think Oak Tree is just the name of the dealership, I think it is a manufacturer name because I've also seen it in another state. The first time I ever saw it was in a Thrifty Nickel-type paper in Russellville, Arkansas, and they had a picture of one with a nice bay window....it seemed like they made something a little "out-of-the-ordinary". Mr. Murray, do you know anything about this? It's been a while since I've been here to pepper you with questions....hope everything is going well for you.

The other day I passed by a Fleetwood lot (which I have discounted as an option for myself, but they DO make some nice floor plans, which I like to study) and saw a different home...it was a doublewide on the right (as you face it from the front), with a nice covered porch, and on the left was an "ell", I guess you'd call it. It sort of looked like a 16 x 80 had been attached to it at mid-point of the long part of it, only it was really more cohesive-looking than that. :-) I'm sure it would be a bedroom/bathroom wing. It made a nice L-shaped courtyard in the front, and maybe in the back also, not sure. It broke up the "plainness" of the usual double-wide facade. Has anyone else seen these, or know of any other manufacturer that is making them? I searched the Fleetwood site for a floor plan on it, but found nothing. I'll probably go look at it just to get ideas. Here it is summer again, though, and the absolutely WORST time of the year to look at MH! Seems like that's what I always do, though, and the hubby usually insists on tagging along and the kids get hot and whiny....so does the hubby. lol

Also the Southern Energy lot near here has received some new ones with some interesting facades, not just plain, long, unbroken, low walls. I'm going to check them out also.

I feel like in the next few years that MH will start to crank out some more architecturally interesting designs. Hopefully, if I decide to go that route, I will be able to find something better than what I've found so far.

Hi there, Mrs. X....I see you're still as feisty as ever. Do you have red hair? LOL Btw, did you know I am a Southern woman also? :-)

I'm replying to my own message because....sm

I've noticed I usually don't see the ones that have no replies when I'm browsing through, but the ones with replies catch my eye. I'm trying to keep this one from getting lost in the shuffle. :-)
