Looking at models of both Cavco and Skyline. Does anyone have info re the reputation of these manufacturers?

The Skyline I bought new over 34 months ago has structural and other problems. Skyline refuses to repair structural and has not properly repaired other items. Skyline refuses to return my phone calls. My Skyline has a type of particle board flooring which you should not buy a MH without upgrading to at least oriented strand board. Particle board also goes by brand names - (NOVAdeck) and there are others. You should get Randy Eaton's Book on manufactured housing and read it very closely.

August will be 2 years we have been in our Skyline home and we love it. Ours came with plywood floors standard. Other than the usual small problems with setting up a new home we have had no problems. Our's came out of the San Jucinto plant in So. Cal. The one Richard purchased came from Georgia so the plant back there must do things very different. Most important thing is finding a good dealer. It makes all the difference in the world.

No. It came out of Leola, PA. However, no other product manufactured by any division of the Skyline Corporation will be bought by this family with the way the people at Leola Plant have treated us.
