comparison of three manufacturers

I'm looking to buy a mobile home in Northern VA. I checked out three different manufacturers today. Which one is the best and which is the worst? I looked at Clayton Homes, Fleetwood Homes, and Oakwood Homes.

If you read through many of the postings you'll find that Oakwood went bankrupt and their product brings only heartbreak and aggrevation. Fleetwood has very mixed reviews. I don't know much about Clayton - I would suggest you read the postings here and those listed under "Manufactured Experts". Good Luck!

Having looked at all 3 of those models, I will only say that you can do much
better with another brand. If you have just started looking, don't stop.

These are 3 of the largest builders in the industry...Each have scores of plants...each plant offering more than 1 brand name..each brand has its own building specs....
Some of the above manufacturers build both nearly the best in the industry...and the worse....
Specific models and specs would be necessary to tell you which might be the best...
You might want to invest a few dollars in Randy's books offered on this web site for sale to get a basic primer on what to look for and how to buy the most for your money...
Come back here often and ask question often...information is what it takes to be very happy with your purchase...

Go to HADD website, great info there to help you. contact people there as well use them to yopur advantage. Do not trust manufactures.
