Hello all,
Looking to relocate to Florida, I have heard, there is alot of problems with mold and mildew inside the homes. How can all this be prevented? Is it the way the home was built, or put on the site originally?
Thanks for any info,
Lorraine

I'm new to this site so pardon the late date answer. I'm also looking in Central Florida. I was there on a job interview & took the opportunity to ck out as many homes as I could. I looked @ 7. There was only a mold problem in one which the agent didn't think was a problem as people take precautions against it. I was concerned & questioned a more experienced person @ the office. He explained that that home had problems as the owner insisted, against advice, that she wanted a ground level screen room. This allows for water to seep in thru any opening that might develop as the flooring settled over the course of time. There are products available to be applied periodically to combat & prevent in prone areas but this was a no win situation. No other home showed any problems and 1 home was about 25 years old! So I'm not looking at this as a major concern.
