New Fleetwood

I plan to purchase a new home, but there are no senior parks with space available within a 200 mile radius of my location. In order to put a new home in a park, a dealer must remove an existing home and place the new home in the location. The only dealer who will do this is the local Fleetwood dealership. I'm quite satisfied with the look of Fleetwood, but would like some advice as to the NECESSARY upgrades. I plan to pay cash, but want to spend my funds wisely, not just on the pretty features. Also, can anyone tell me - what should I expect to pay for the dealer to remove an old home and replace it with my new home. Is this a common practice. Thanks for any advice.

Hello Janifer,

Is the old home a singlewide? If so $1,000 to $1,500 should be in the ball park. My book on, "How To Buy A Manufactured Home" goes into detail about which options to consider when ordering a home I would encourage you to get yourself a copy.
