Have read a few posts about people warning others about questionable dealers---OH, I have one----Ballard Homes of Benton, Missouri. We bought a 2002 Crystal Valley from Greg Ballard---of the above. The house itself it great. We've been in it a little over 1 month. The problems are: carpets were left grossly filthy, light fixtures were not put up--(had to guess where they went), big gaping hole above laundry door, hump in hallway, squeeky floor in kitchen, mismatched ceiling "mud" paint, Atrium screen door not put up, kitchen light totally quit working (electrical problem?), cracks in plaster around ceiling coving-----all of which should have been addressed when Ballard's inside finisher was doing his job???? He certainly was told about them...........
--NOW for the big one----this is now day 36 and still NO Air Conditioning----oh, they brought a 3 1/2ton unit on June 25, but it did not work---blew nothing but more hot air. Here in So. Illinois we have had mid to high 90 degree weather---and we're notorious for our "high" humidity!!!! ----Have kept a log of all the phone "tag" calls from this person and wrote down ALL his EMPTY promises and BS. So-----BUYER BEWARE OF BALLARD HOMES OF BENTON, MISSOURI. It's people like this that gives manufactured housing a bad name. Would welcome Any suggestions/comments. My father and brother ARE attorneys, so I am with very good legal help. Thank you for your time-----cjrolfe
