several questions

Hello! My husband and I are beginners but have been researching for a couple of months. We are "Hoosiers" and although I have enjoyed reading the posts on this forum, I haven't seen much information on the homes available in Indiana. We are interested in purchasing (custom ordering) around 2000 sq ft, full drywall, residential look home (flat ceilings, 5/12 roof pitch, real wood trim and cabinets) with upgraded appliances, etc. So please help me out if you have knowledge about any of these questions:
Hart Homes--we have heard that the manufacturer is not very interested in service after the sale. We like the homes and the quality seems good but we don't want to get stuck with no service if something goes wrong.
Four Seasons Housing--ditto on service. Does anyone know differently?
Patriot Homes--Crystal Valley or Heritage models. Will they make minor changes to plans--ie add coat closet or make arch opening between 2 bedrooms? Are they better quality than the Hart home or Four Seasons?
Any other suggestions about brands/manufacturers we should check out?
Thanks.....Jane
