Hi,

Can you tell me which manufactured homes are recommended to be the most affordable and still be of good quality? How about Skyline manufactured homes, I looked at a Lexington today. Are they any good, or are they poor quality homes?

We have a lot in Marshfield, Maine and are looking to retire there this summer...what are your recommendations for affordable, yet quality manufactured homes for that area? Anything we should be careful of?

All manufactured homes are built to HUD code, which insures quality to a certain degree in all manufactured homes. However, many manufactures exceed HUD codes, which increases the price. Sometimes quality is in the eyes of the beholder, so to speak. As in all things, one usually gets what one pays for.

Quality, yet affordable. That pretty much sums up the manufactured housing industry.
